[ INTERVIEW QUESTION ] Changed the vCenter IP Address by mistake.

Impressive answer! Scenario: As part of Data Center upgrade – someone changed the vCenter IP Address by mistake. How do you tackle this Scenario as a NEW HIRE? What is the technical plan to change this record? (ITIL Process). This is your best answer...

(1) I will create backups/snapshot of the vCenter & SQL databases.
(2) I will set DRS to manual mode to avoid anything moving around.
(3) I will identify the ESXi host running the vCenter VM and connected directly to it.
(4) I will close any sessions I have open to the vCenter Server.
(5) I will open a console window to the vCenter Server by way of the ESXi host.
(6) I will stop all VMware related services
(7) I will change the IPv4 address and gateway as per new Networking configuration.
(8) I will put DRS back to fully automated (optional based the setup)
(9) I will uninstall Update Manager software from the VM
(10) I will update the vCenter Managed IP Address
(11) I will disconnect the host from vCenter to flush out the database entry
(12) I will Reconnect to the ESXi host to use new vCenter IP Address for communication and agents Installation
